The Hyundai Exeter is demonstrating its success as an SUV for the manufacturer. Only two months after its debut, more than 75,000 reservations have been made. However, as a result of this, the micro SUV waiting time has dramatically lengthened. The Korean firm is raising its output in light of the demand. Well, despite the rise in output, Exeter’s waiting list is still rather long at 8 months. In Chennai, the waiting period is four months, in Bengaluru it is eight months, in Mumbai it is three months, in Delhi it is four months, in Pune it is three months, in Kolkata it is 3.5 months, and in Hyderabad, it is four months.
Tata Punch: Up to six weeks of waiting
Hyundai Exeter is directly competed against by Tata Punch in every manner. Both vehicles start at Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom). Punch’s engine is a 1.2-liter petrol one. CNG is an additional alternative. The engine produces 86 PS and 113 Nm on petrol, but less power on compressed natural gas. Both a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox are available.
Maruti Fronx SUV: Up to 24 weeks of waiting
Due to its crossover style and high-riding attitude, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx may potentially appeal to many Exeter buyers. However, it costs more than Exeter does. The price for the Maruti Frontex begins at Rs. 7.46 lakh (ex-showroom). Both a 1.2-liter normally aspirated gasoline engine and a 1-liter turbocharged gasoline booster jet engine are available. There is a 24-week waiting period for this.
