Following the announcement of multiple product revisions earlier this month, Kia is currently getting ready to introduce several new models. We now know that later this year, the Korean automaker will launch two new models including an SUV.
The company is bringing brand-new vehicles.
The new generation Carnival and the electric SUV EV9 are the two planned new models. The current fiscal year will see the release of both of these vehicles. The EV9 might be released at a later date than the Carnival, which is anticipated to come in the upcoming months. Except for the EV9, which was only recently put on the road, Kia has been testing both vehicles. Anticipated to be the company’s newest flagship vehicle in the Indian market, it will likely be offered in 2WD and 4WD guises, which will offer a range of around 400-500 km on a single full charge.
What can we expect from EV9?
The India-spec EV9’s specifications are currently unknown. However, we anticipate that this vehicle will first be offered as a CBU model and, based on market demand, a CKD variant as well. Level 2 ADAS suite, dual digital screen, linked car technology, electrically adjustable second-row seats, motorized tailboard, and multi-zone climate control are just a few of the features it will have.
With whom will it compete?
In the Indian market, the Kia EV6 will go up against vehicles like the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the soon-to-be Volvo EX90. The EX90 is anticipated to go on sale in June of this year at a price of approximately Rs 1.50 crore, ex-showroom.
