Tata Punch Vs Hyundai Exter – Tata Punch has dominated the nation’s mini SUV market since its inception in 2021. Tata Punch became the second best-selling Tata vehicle for the company after Nexon after selling two lakh units in the first 19 months of its release. Punch sold 14,523 units in total in August 2023, a significant increase from the 12,006 units it sold in August 2022. On an annual basis, its sales have seen a 21 percent growth.

Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai introduced the Fronx and Xeter SUVs in April and July, respectively, to threaten its hegemony. Punch, however, continues to have a sizable advantage over both of them. While the Exeter only sold 7,306 units, the Frons sold 12,164. Tata Punch and Hyundai Xtor are direct competitors because their prices are comparable (between Rs 6 and Rs 10 lakh), although the Fronx is slightly more expensive (between Rs 7.47 and Rs 13.14 lakh).

Creta was likewise abandoned
In addition, Tata Punch outsold Hyundai Creta by a difference of 691 units. Mid-size SUV Creta sales in August 2023 totaled 13,832 units, up from 12,577 units in the same month the previous year. The second-best-selling SUV in August was the Punch. Only Maruti Brazzi has excelled in this area.
Regarding Tata Punch SUV
Its 1.2-liter petrol engine produces 86 PS and 113 Nm of torque. Both a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox are available. It also has CNG versions available. The engine makes 77 PS and 97 Nm while running on CNG. It has a 5-speed manual transmission. The vehicle includes a 7.0-inch touchscreen, a semi-digital instrument panel, automated climate control, and automatic headlights and wipers. It includes cruise control as well.
Regarding Hyundai Exter
A 1.2-liter petrol engine with naturally aspirated combustion (83 PS/114 Nm) powers the Exeter. Additionally, it offers a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox. This engine makes 69 PS/95 Nm while running on CNG. It has a 5-speed manual transmission. With CNG, you can go 27.1 km for every kilogram. It boasts features including a single pane sunroof, wireless phone charging, cruise control, a 4.2-inch digital driver display with MID, and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
