The Maruti Suzuki Brezza has been the best-selling SUV in 2023, having sold 1,70,588 units. It barely escapes with the title of best-selling SUV, though. In terms of sales, Tata Nexon is not far behind either. The sales data of Maruti Brezza and Tata Nexon differ by a very small amount.
The number of Tata SUV Nexon units sold in 2023 was 1,70,311.
That is, compared to Brezza, only 277 fewer units have been sold. However, as a result of this distinction, the Brezza continued to be the best-selling SUV, with the Nexon coming in second. But it’s important to remember that Tata unveiled the Nexon makeover in September of last year, with several improvements and features have been added. Brezza is priced (ex-showroom) between Rs 8.29 lakh and Rs 14.14 lakh. On the other hand, Nexon’s ex-showroom pricing ranges from Rs 8.10 lakh to Rs 15.50 lakh.
Engines of Brezza and Nexon
The 1.5-liter petrol engine is the sole one offered for the Brezza, and it also has a CNG kit option. It produces 88PS/121.5NM on CNG and 101PS/136NM on petrol. Nexon offers two different engine options concurrently. Its 1.5-liter diesel engine produces 110PS/260NM, while its 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine produces 120PS/170NM. With a turbo-petrol engine, Nexon offers a five-speed manual, six-speed manual, six-speed automatic gearbox, and seven-speed DCT. With a diesel engine, the options are a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic gearbox.
Brezza only comes with a 5-speed manual
and a 6-speed automatic gearbox choice. There is only one 5-speed manual transmission with CNG available in this as well. Brezza boasts a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, four speakers, an automated shifter, ambient lighting, a wireless phone charger, a sunroof, a heads-up display, and a 360-degree camera. The Nexon boasts a 9.-speaker JBL sound system with a subwoofer, adjustable air conditioning, wireless phone charging, paddle shifters, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display.
